I am so lucky to have a friend like Alda who trusted me to take engagement pictures of her and Stephen at Palm Beach Island! Having known Alda for about ten years I was soo excited to capture this time in her life. I met Alda in college, and we spent pretty much every moment together for two years. We’ve supported each other through it all, from heartbreaks to finding her soulmate. I feel like I’ve been waiting for her to find her future husband for a while, so the fact that she found Stephen makes me emotional. She FINALLY found the one! 

Alda and Stephen’s story is straight out of a romance movie! I mean, look at them!! They were both randomly in Jupiter, Florida, on the same weekend. Alda was visiting from New York, and Stephen from Tennessee, so the fact that they both happened to go to the same bar, you know it was meant to be! Of course, they hit it off right away, so they took turns flying to visit one another until they both landed in Washington State together. Fast forward two years, and now they’re planning a wedding in California! Not only do they have a wedding in the works, but they just moved into their dream home in Colorado.

Anytime I take engagement photos for a couple, I always tell them to just “go with the flow,” and Alda and Stephen did exactly that! As soon I started taking pictures, they were flirting it up for the camera. It was so obvious how in love they are! Stephen literally couldn’t take his eyes off Alda. Alda could not stop smiling or giggling the entire time, and my camera ate it up! They were in their own world laughing, kissing, and flirting while I just took their pictures; it made for the best candid photo moments!

What I loved most about this session was how much fun they had together. It actually felt like just another date night for them. I barely had to direct them since their chemistry was crazy; it didn’t feel forced or awkward. They were just having fun, not even really noticing I was there.

These are the kind of sessions that remind me why I love what I do. Photographing one of my friends and her fiance was soo special!
