Originally, Daisy and Erasto planned a simple elopement, but I am sooo thankful they decided to celebrate their wedding day with all their favorite people since that meant I got to capture this sweetest engagement session before their wedding! We tossed around a few ideas from heading to the beach where Erasto proposed and even some random fields, but those didn’t feel right for their engagement photos. I randomly suggested to Daisy a location I had never done before with the idea of Norton Museum of Art for their engagement session. When Daisy heard the idea, she LOVED it and was all in!
The Norton Museum of Art was such a good choice for engagement photos!! Not only is it filled with beautiful art and installations, but it was our playground for the day, and it was so much fun!! We went from one exhibit to another as I snapped pictures of Daisy and Erasto in front of the stunning artwork, which added a beautiful background to their sweet cuddles and kisses.
This engagement session was unlike any other I’ve done before. With the museum’s dark corners and dramatic art pieces, we ended up with a vintage and slightly moody aesthetic that really set their photos apart. It was like a “night out at the museum,” where each snapshot was a story in itself—intimate, dramatic, and an incredibly romantic date night for Daisy and Erasto.
After we wrapped up, they even stayed behind to wander through the rest of the museum. Once they explored all of the museum they grabbed lunch at the museum’s restaurant. It was more than just an engagement shoot for them; it was a date day. They explored and enjoyed the rest of the museum, just the two of them. I love it when couples select a location and activity for their engagement session, someplace, or something they enjoy doing. It was literal perfection, capturing their love in such an iconic and meaningful place!!
Being a part of such a fun and unique engagement session was so special!! Daisy and Erasto’s changing their mind from elopement to a traditional wedding just goes to show you should listen to your gut and do what makes you and your partner happy! I’m sooo thankful they trusted me to capture their engagement session before their wedding day. Thinking about where to take engagement pictures in Palm Beach? You should definitely add the Norton Museum of Art to your list of potential location ideas! Your engagement photos shouldn’t just be a backdrop. Engagement photos should be an experience, and the museum is the perfect experience for you and your partner!
