It’s no secret that Florida is a popular destination to elope. I mean, it has some of the most incredible beaches that are a perfect backdrop to your special day! So it was no surprise when Christina and Brandon decided to ditch the traditional wedding shindig and opt for a laid-back Florida sunrise beach elopement in Cape Canaveral, Florida– Jetty Park. And let me tell you, it was pure magic! As a Florida elopement and wedding photographer, it is alway such an honor getting to witness wedding days and watching my couples vision come to life before their eyes. And for Christina and Brandon, their morning along the beach did not disappoint one bit.

How It Happened:

Earlier in the year, Christina won a giveaway (woot woot)! This was the beginning of our planning process. We got to talking about how they were getting married and wanted to Elope with their immediate family. Of course, Florida being Florida, wasn’t going to let the day come to us easily. Not only were we planning a wedding, but we quickly became storm watchers (literally). Every day we would text about the chance of rain, backup location ideas and all the fun things that come with Florida’s unpredictable weather. So we decided, sunrise (rain or shine)! Lucky for us, the stars aligned for the MOST PERFECT Florida Beach Elopement.

Christina and Brandon chose to get ready together and meet me at the beach just before sunrise. As we walked down the wooden boardwalk, the sun was just beginning to peek through. Little did we know, we’d have a front row view of a gorgeous golden sun coming up over the ocean and morning cruise ship lights twinkling in the distance as they left the port.

After saying exchanging vows, pranced around the beach, climbed up on the jetty rocks for some gorgeous photos and even took a dip in the ocean. They even had a few Florida Sandhill Cranes join in for a photo op!

The best part? Besides their family and besties, no one knew they were eloping. Although untraditional, Christina and Brandon decided eloping before their big ceremony was what was best for them and on their dating anniversary at that! So when they showed up to their big party, their guests got a fun surprise!

This was such a perfect start to their adventure-filled life together! So here’s to Christina and Brandon, the grooviest couple on the beach.
